Once upon a time a Cambodian tailor, Reang, who has been granted a microcredit, funded on Babyloan platform. She fulfilled her wish: supporting her family’s needs.
Reang Vanny is 58 years old, she is a tailor in a Cambodian region called Siem Reap. She works ten hours a day on her weaving loom, an ancestral declining activity. Reang makes large pieces of fabric that she sells on the market. Reang has three children, she is divorced and she has to support her children’s needs alone. That’s why she also does cleanings in addition to her work.

The impact of microcredit on Reang’s life: microcredit enabled Reang to purchase thread and raw material she needed for her business. Today, she earns enough money and she can easily repay her loan. Her situation is still precarious but now she can financially support her family’s needs and pay the school fees of her children.
