Transparency and trust are essential values for Babyloan. That’s why we want to help you understand the calculation methods of our indicators.
Loan repayment rate
(Total amount lent - Loan repayments more than three months late or loan loss / Total amount lent) x 100.
The rate is calculated on the basis of the whole amount lent and lent again, and not on the basis of the invested money.
For example: I invested €100 and I lent and lent again 10 times this amount. The 10th time, the €100 have not been repaid. Then, my repayment rate is 90% (€900 repayment / €1,000 lent).
Overdue payment
(Overdue payment more than three months late / Total amount lent) x 100.
Loans are considered in arrears when the repayments are more than 90 days late.
Loan loss
(Loan loss / Total amount lent) x 100.
A loan is considered as “written off” when Babyloan estimates that the amount cannot be recovered (no repayment is possible).
