Jérémias is 69. A widower, he lives with two of his children and 5 grand-children. He had the chance to go and work in Saudi Arabia for 20 years as an aircraft body painter, which allowed him to send significant amounts of money every month to his family (sometimes up to 700 €). So his children all had access to education, and they today have a steady job. When he came back to the Philippines, 10 years ago, Jérémias bought a jeepney for 6000 € (a Philippine vehicle). Now, he gets an income from its daily rent to drivers of the community.
