CEPESIU has been dedicated to the development of the microenterprise sector for more than 25 years. As a support body, it has implemented a range of services aimed to strengthen the institutional and organizational framework of the industry that interacts with microenterprises.

 

CEPESIU is made of a group of professionals with recognized expertise in order to drive the strategic, technical, and operational actions necessary for that purpose. To achieve its mission, it provides the following services to those in the informal economic sector who are most vulnerable in the Ecuadorian society:

 

-       Financial Services, providing microcredit to microenterprises

-       Local Economic Development, Self-forming systems of credit to rural and urban communities

-       Promotion of self-organized systems savings, credit and capital, the conformation of SPI (popular investment societies)
